UMD Athletic Director Josh Berlo on the NCHC Frozen Faceoff pivoting to the University of North Dakota’s Ralph Engelstad Arena in an eight-team, single-elimination format: “We are excited to have a plan for the NCHC Frozen Faceoff given all of the uncertainty we faced going into the season. While we would love to be able to host the quarterfinals at Amsoil Arena and the championship at the Xcel Energy Center, current restrictions do not allow for such. As always, a BIG thank you to Bulldog Country for their continued support of men’s hockey and all of our great teams. To have three teams ranked in the top-6 in the nation this week is flat-out impressive and a credit to our student-athletes and coaches.”
